Who Runs DolWise

DolWise is an independent publisher of free online financial calculators. The site is operated as a personal project focused on building useful, accurate tools that help people understand everyday financial decisions.

We are not a bank, lender, financial advisor, or government agency. We are a small team that builds and maintains calculator tools.

How Content Is Created

Every calculator on DolWise is built using standard, publicly documented financial formulas. Tool development follows this process:

• Formula selection: We identify the standard industry or regulatory formula for each calculation.
• Implementation: The formula is implemented in JavaScript with input validation, error handling, and clear result presentation.
• Testing: Each calculator is tested against manually computed examples, edge cases (zero, very large, negative), and boundary conditions (0% interest, 100% down payment, etc.).
• Documentation: Every tool page explains the formula, assumptions, and limitations in plain English.
• Review: Content and calculations are reviewed for clarity and functional accuracy. This content has not been reviewed by a licensed financial, tax, legal, or insurance professional.

Corrections & Updates

If you find an error in any calculator or piece of content, please report it through our Contact page. We review all reports and correct verified errors promptly. Significant corrections are noted on the relevant page.

We update calculator assumptions (such as illustrative interest rates) periodically. Each page shows its last update date.

Our Promise
